− Ended up taking a different room because I could not check in early. I had asked ahead of time to check in a few hours earlier. No response from hotel either way before I arrived.
1/10 – SHOCKING EXPERIENCE! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE FROM A MARRIOTT HOTEL!

− This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. We booked and paid for a room for THREE ADULTS, clearly advertised and confirmed with one bed and a sofa. However, when we arrived, we were given a room with only ONE BED and NO SOFA. When we complained, the hotel manager actually suggested that THREE GROWN ADULTS should sleep together in a single bed meant for two people. Seriously? Is this the level of hospitality Marriott considers acceptable? What made the situation even worse was the manager’s attitude. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, he dismissed our concerns and refused to provide written confirmation that the room did not match our reservation. Booking.com told us they had repeatedly attempted to contact the hotel by phone and email, while the reception insisted they had received nothing. We were left exhausted, frustrated and without suitable sleeping arrangements late at night. Instead of enjoying our trip to Washington, D.C., we spent hours trying to resolve a problem that should never have existed. We did not expect luxury. We simply expected the room we booked and paid for. For a hotel carrying the Marriott name, this level of customer service and lack of accountability is shocking. Absolutely disgraceful handling of the situation. We would never stay here again and strongly advise others to think twice before booking this property.
