− It was dirty and smell so much like cigarettes. I had my kids with me and definitely did not feel save or comfortable staying there . The reception didn't had another room to change me . Horrible experience. I drove 2hrs back home instead

First night, water came pouring from the roof and totally destroyed my $2k laptop. Then in the morning hours, we had to move to a nother room. Room was disgustingly dirty and smelled like smoke. No warm water. This was an absolute disaster. And into of everything, with the checkout my one bag got stolen under cameras. The bag had all our legal documents in: passports, ssn ,banking details, everything. Worst time of my life.

− Here is the letter I sent to corporate about my stay with the negatives To Motel 6 Management, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with our recent stay at the Motel 6 on Hotel Circle in San Diego, California. We originally booked two nights, arriving Friday, October 2nd, and ultimately extended our stay through October 7th, for a total of five nights. Our total cost was nearly $800. I have stayed at this location before, as well as at several other Motel 6 properties throughout the country, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had. I understand that Motel 6 is a budget-friendly hotel, and I do not expect luxury accommodations. However, I do expect basic necessities, reasonable cleanliness, functioning facilities, and a safe room. Unfortunately, our stay fell short in several of these areas. Throughout our stay, we encountered the following issues: * Basic necessities were consistently unavailable: There were no ice bucket liners, no extra blankets, no cups of any kind, no silverware or plates, and only one roll of toilet paper for a room accommodating up to four guests. * Insufficient towels and housekeeping: We were provided with only one hand towel, and housekeeping never came to our room or even attempted to service it during our entire stay. * Broken ice machines: Both ice machines on the property were out of order. * Extremely slow elevator: The elevator sometimes took approximately 15 minutes to arrive, which was incredibly inconvenient. * Cleanliness concerns: Dog urine was left on the stairs for several hours before it was cleaned up. * No trash bags available: Despite staying for five nights, we were unable to obtain trash bags and ultimately had to bring our own toilet paper and trash bags from home. * Unmaintained dog station: The designated dog waste station had no poop bags available.
