Facilities 5 star, bedrooms 3 star. Not worth €400 a night.
7.0The restaurant was fabulous, pricey but worth it. The food was the best we had during our 2 weeks touring around the South of France. The pool area is beautiful. The hotel bar is also nice. The hotel is about 12 minute easy walk into Aix. Aix is a very vibrant buzzy town, a university town with lots of young people, so not just tourists. So many cafes all set out in lovely squares.
− The room was clean and comfortable but not 5 star by a long shot, nothing like the cover photo for the hotel. The inside of the hotel (stairs and corridors) is a bit drab and dated. We stayed in several hotels during our trip and maybe in France it is the facilities that are star rated, not the bedrooms. At over €400 a night I expected more.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Aix
9.0The property is absolutely lovely. Beautiful gardens and pool, as well as many places to enjoy inside the hotel. The breakfast every morning was delicious!
− Some wait staff were particularly rude. We were seated on their outside terrace for dinner, and then completely ignored for 45 minutes. When we decided to leave after not having our order taken or any attention whatsoever, the hostess finally came over and asked if we wanted to order food. It’s too bad you pay so much to stay at a beautiful hotel only to have the experience stained with poor wait service. Everyone else was lovely.
