Irresponsible hotel management: Unusable shower, No follow-up, and Appalling customer service
1.0− Our one-night stay at B&B HOTEL Nice Stade Riviera was completely unacceptable. After a long journey, we checked in around 2 a.m., wanting nothing more than a shower and some sleep. Instead, we discovered that the shower drain was badly clogged. The water would not drain properly, leaving us standing in a pool of dirty water and unable to take a hygienic shower. We reported the problem both directly to reception and in writing through Booking.com. We were told it could not be repaired that night because the necessary tool was unavailable. By 3 a.m., we were still dealing with this situation instead of getting the rest we needed. The following morning, there was not a single follow-up. Even more shocking, the receptionist handling our checkout was not even aware of the problem, despite our having reported it through both channels. This showed a deeply frustrating lack of communication and concern for our experience. No compensation was offered. She simply asked whether we wanted some drinks. Given that we had been unable to use one of the room’s most basic facilities, this felt dismissive and completely inadequate. A working shower is a basic expectation of any hotel stay. The failure to provide one, followed by the complete absence of follow-up and a meaningful response at checkout, made this an extremely disappointing experience. We left feeling that our complaint had simply been ignored. We will further pursue this matter through appropriate channels. But based on our experience, we strongly advise choosing another hotel.
