Lovely spot but some aircon issues
9.0The location is perfect for exploring the town on foot and it is an little oasis of beauty and calm inside the gate. The views are stunning. The hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast with its views was excellent. The rooms were a little small but attractive. We were welcomed with drinks in the courtyard near the pool which was a nice touch.
− The main issue was the airconditioning, for both ourselves and our friends. It is tricky to operate and when you get it cool enough, it turned off in the night making it far too warm for comfort. The staff denied this happens but we have experienced this a lot in Italy so are not unaccustomed to denials. It happened for both our rooms, even after calls and visits to the front desk. I suspect they are trying to save money but at this price point it is not acceptable to have a bad night's sleep because of the heat. The other thing I didn't like was that there were no details given to us about how to find the hotel (it was tricky on a busy road) and if you miss it, as we did, you have no choice but to go back to sea level and back up again which is about a 12 minute round trip.

− Breakfast was inconsistent Classic ground floor rooms smell very musty, air conditioning noisy. We were upgraded to a suite which was much, much better. It felt like a different hotel. Grounds not well kept Bathrooms are tired
