Quirky good value for money stay in centre of Oslo
8.0Central location, extensive breakfast choice, complimentary evening meal. New modern clean bathroom. Very good value for money.
− The room decor needs updating. We had a strange shaped room which made if feel a bit tight for space. There was a thin layer of dust on the kettle and the phone...

Nice central location
8.0There was a lot to like about the Home Hotel Folketeateret. The location is really close to the train station, trams and about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. The staff was really nice and the breakfast was fantastic. Providing dinner in the price was a nice gesture, although the food was hit and miss (one night very good, the other not so much).
− We booked the Superior Double Room, which was listed as having a city view on Booking.com, and the pictures showed rooms with balconies (or at least views of balconies). Our room had a view of other hotel room windows and an ugly rooftop (see attached picture), so it felt a little like false advertising. In addition, the room was REALLY dark, even with all the lights on. I’m sure this was made worse since we had no sunlight coming in the window, but it would have been dark regardless.
