We should not recommend Bob W
5.0Big room
− We would not recommend Bob W. The reason is their unreliable 'keyless entry system.' While the concept itself is oké, in practice, over the five days we stayed there, it proved to be unreliable far too often. Everything worked fine on the first day, but for the following four days, something would consistently go wrong or run slowly. This meant that, at times, we couldn't get into the building and were left waiting outside in the cold until the system started working again. On another occasion, the Bob website was down, making it impossible to pay for breakfast using our Bob voucher code. At other times, we couldn't access our room because the system failed to connect, even though we were following the exact same procedure that had worked previously, forcing us to wait once more for it to become functional. It was extra frustrating and annoying that, when we called Bob to seek a quick resolution, initially was tried to suggest that the issue wasn't within the Bob W system, claiming it was working fine, but rather with our phone or web browser... This is a strange assertion, given that the system worked at times and failed at others. Furthermore, on two occasions when a (by the way friendly) Bob W staff member happened to be at the hotel, she confirmed that the system/website was indeed down or not working properly at that moment and confirmed we didnt do sonething wrong, and admitted she had no idea when it would be back up. So being told over the phone by Bob W that the problem was (occasionally...) our browser was extremely irritating. The system simply does not work consistently in practise. We met several other visitors in the building who also experienced similar issues during their stay. The studio itself was fine, though it is in need of some (small) maintenance. The bathroom window was already open upon arrival, so left that way by the cleaning staff and so should be known already by Bob W.
