− Kein 4 Sterne Standard, Preis / Leistung nicht gegeben, Klimaanlage laut, Toilette wackelt, Wasser am Waschbecken riecht unangenehm, Badezimmertür verzogen und lässt sich nicht zuziehen, TV (falls gebraucht) nur französische Sender, Zimmerwechsel leider nicht möglich.

L emplacement central proche lignes de Tramway L1 et L2, et place Massena. Le salon a cote de l accueil.

− Le cote succins des equipements. SImple bouilloire pour Café et Thé avec 2 verres. Flacon de gel douche vide dans la douche. Des formalités de pré enregistrement qui ne servent apparemment à rien vu que la procedure d accueil rete la même. C est plutôt un 3*+ qu un 4*

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! My first stay at this Mercure, but not my first stay in Nice. I booked a room with a balcony, which was the perfect size for me with two large comfortable outside chairs and a table; I could use the balcony in the morning until 12.15pm (then the sun came in the heatwave!) and from around 7pm as the sun set. My relaxation with reading over coffee was simply heavenly on this balcony. 5 stars or 10/10 are not enough! I was in Nice during the heatwave and the outstanding (recently refurbished, I believe) air-conditioning was AMAZING! My double room was just the right size and the bathroom also was fine. The shower was excellent with rain shower and powerful water each day, accompanied by Nuxe of Paris hand and body wash. The cleanliness is faultless; the housekeeping staff must be praised for their attention to detail! The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a decent night's sleep throughout my 12-day stay. The bedding was crisp and of high quality. The room included a nice fridge with coffee and tea making facilities and a safe, along with a somewhat cool lime green easy chair. The cleanliness of this hotel cannot be missed; there is high attention to detail throughout! My stay included breakfast and of all the Mercure's I have stayed at, the breakfast here was the best - and they have all been very good! The staff clearly take pride in their job to provide high quality services. The breakfast staff recognised I preferred a certain table, therefore it was made available for me. The choice of food is excellent - hot, cold, traditional breads, croissants, pains au chocolat etc alongside pancakes etc etc. Hot and cold drinks - note that a key Mercure service is the range of choice in fruit juices (at least 5 different juices to choose from!). Reception staff and welcome, goodbye and service during my stay was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble - including getting a fixed taxi price for me and enabling me to consider the option, before going back to the company to make the booking I needed. The lobby is great - plenty of seating areas and again, immaculate. I had a minor housekeeping issue during my stay which was rectified to perfection - you couldn't ask for more! The location of this hotel is perfect, being approximately 2 mins' walk from the main town area with its restaurants and maybe 5 mins from the sea (Promenade des Anglais). I felt highly safe, welcome and a true guest at the hotel. The fresh water (still or sparkling) in reception for all guests to use was truly amazing during the heatwave. There is a rooftop bar, albeit I did not try it out. I cannot praise this hotel enough and shall absolutely be returning - merci à tous et à toutes !
