A five star hotel disappointment
4.0The location of the hotel was good. The breakfast had a good variety of foods to choose from and it was well managed and the dining atmosphere was excellent.
− For a five star hotel, you would think the rooms would be in better condition than what was being offered. Perhaps it’s just a very old hotel. First off, there was an odor similar to sewage persistent in our room throughout our stay. The smell was present the moment we checked into our room and we are not sure how we managed to put up with it for 3 straight nights. Although they tried to fix the issue with the smell but unfortunately to no avail. To be honest, we are a bit disappointed as my wife and I have looked forward to our trip to Firenze, however this unexpected issue with the odor had dampened our moods more or less, to say the least. One more thing, not sure if the hand towels are supposed to be grey to resemble a rag? It’s also very worn out!
