2.0− Booked a twin room via booking.com as staying with my daughter. Arrived and was given a double. When I returned to reception I was told the booking was “allocated on arrival” which annoyed me as I’d specifically booked a twin. Thankfully they had a twin which was in a noisy basement room. Which simply wasn’t worth the money I paid for the room
Very good hotel.
8.0Good location and good facilities. Restaurant food was very good.
− Shower over the bath - should give a choice at booking to account for mobility difficulties.

With its Victorian architecture and fresh approach to hospitality, Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is the perfect expression of its setting: Manchester, a city where tradition and modernity meet and where artisanship reigns supreme. Housed in a magnificent terracotta Grade II–listed building, Kimpton Clocktower has a history that dates back to 1890, when the building first opened as The Refuge Assurance Company headquarters. Today, it’s a destination where glamor and luxury meets one-of-a-kind craftsmanship—and where there are new things to discover at every turn.
