Thoroughly enjoyed our stay but will try a different place next time to Chicago.
8.0The location can’t be beat! Steps from the lakeside path and to the best central Chicago has to offer. Our king sized room was very spacious. The stately building still exudes some of its original charm and has so far escaped extensive “remuddling”. I hope it stays that way. Afternoon tea looked really fun but just didn’t have the time.
− To the extent the hotel has been modernized is as if they want to pattern after a 1980’s Comfort or Days Inn. The modern amenities seem very 3-star and very generic. I’m quite sure the “shampoo” and “body wash” dispensers are giving out the same identical liquid out of the same big bottle somewhere. The bathtub drain was pretty slow taking 5-10 minutes to empty the tub.

10.0It was a celebration for my wife’s birthday and it was a surprise. After dinner at Gibson’s Italia, I surprised her with the overnight stay with you. This no luggage. You supplied us with bathrobes, slippers and toothpaste with toothbrushes. Exceptional service‼️

Very disappointing. Running on the fumes of a once great reputation. Limp, sad, and smelly.
1.0The location is terrific. Can't be beat. That's the only good thing to be said for this establishment.
− The room smelled like mold and "rectory." The coffee maker didn't work, and the staff didn't care and didn't replace. The dresser was so dusty we were able to write in the dust. The windows were thick with dust and cobwebs.
