観光には最高の立地。ただし、スタッフの対応には残念な点も
8.0Hotel Ketteは、ヴェネツィア随一の観光エリアの真ん中に位置しており、観光には最高の立地です。サン・マルコ寺院やドゥカーレ宮殿までも徒歩5分強で、主要な観光スポットを巡るには非常に便利でした。 また、空港との移動に水上タクシーを利用する場合、ホテルの裏口に発着するため、大変便利です。荷物が多い場合にも助かると思います。 ホテルのスタッフには、以前15年ほど日本に住んでいた方もおり、日本語でいろいろとやり取りができたのは幸運でした。 歴史を感じさせる建物だけに、部屋は少し暗めでした。ただ、個人的には、これもホテルの雰囲気の一部だと思います。部屋が明るすぎると、かえって歴史ある建物ならではの趣が損なわれてしまうかもしれません。
− 今回は2部屋を利用しましたが、残念なことに、そのうちの1部屋では朝起きるとブレーカーが落ちており、電気が使えなくなっていました。なぜその部屋だけ電気が落ちたのかは分かりません。ブレーカーは部屋の中にはなく、自分では対処できませんでした。 そこでフロントに電話したのですが、10分ほど待ってもスタッフが来てくれず、結局、2回電話してようやく対応してもらえました。言葉の問題があったのかもしれませんが、このときの電話口のスタッフの対応は非常にぶっきらぼうで、朝から嫌な気分になりました (直しに来てくれた方は丁寧・親切でした) 。 水上タクシーではなく、ヴァポレット（水上バス）を利用する場合は、最寄りの停留所がどこなのか、少し分かりにくく感じました。私が考えていた停留所が最寄りの場所であれば、スーツケースを引いて歩くと10分ほどかかるかもしれません。ヴァポレットを利用する予定の方は、事前に停留所とホテルまでのルートを確認しておくと安心だと思います。
